Description

Everyone lies about the number of partners they've had. I'll admit. I'm just as guilty as the next person.

Delilah wakes up one morning to realise that she has, without meaning to, hit the BIG TWENTY. It's a disaster. Unless- could she have missed the love of her life without realising it? Delilah sets out on the road trip of a lifetime, to revisit all her past lovers and try to find The One. But can you put a number on love?

My thoughts

I read this because I like the movie a lot!

This is definitely different from the movie, but I think I like the movie more.

It kind of starts at the same point with little changes. Over time these changes get bigger and bigger and bigger. For example I really like the character of Colin the neighbor in the movie, but he is there for so little in the book. In the movie they have multiple interactions and those are the best part of the movie. They hardly interact in the book.

The book is more than just a comedy, yes it's funny, but it's also making a good point about accepting yourself for who you are.

It does get sometimes ridiculous with the encounters of her exes. Which are the funny parts, but if you prefer a more serious contemporary this would not be it.
