Top 5 Wednesday: Favorite Villains

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Lainey @ GingerReadsLainey on YouTube and hosted by Sam @ ThoughtsOnTomes. Every Wednesday there is a new topic, and you list your top 5 related to the particular topic. This week's topic: Characters you used to love but don't anymore. For more information on top 5 Wednesday and the Goodreads group click HERE.

I’m not a fan of villains. I prefer the hero’s most of the time. Keep this in mind when you read my list.

This list is in no particular order.

Levana from The Lunar Chronicles
On the moment I’m obsessed with this series. I started Cinder this month and now I’m already reading
Winter. In this series she seems like a villain who does evil things just because she is evil, but after reading Fairest I see it is not exactly like that. She grew up in an environment that made her like she is now, but she always did everything for her people. She might not realize she is making is worse for her people, but she had good intentions to start with. She had a messed up family and childhood that made her what she is today.

Conner from The False Prince
This is a bad guy but you kind of need him. He trains these boys to pretend to be the prince but he would as easily kill them if he doesn’t need them anymore. He demonstrates this in the first few chapters. He isn’t afraid of hurting this boy too. This makes him a villain

The Assassin from The kiss of Deception
I’m not saying his name because that is a big spoiler. But in some ways he is an enemy sent to kill Lia but in other moments he is also a friend, or more? I only read the first book in this series and love it, so I really need to get to the rest of this series.

Smaug from The Hobbit
Because come on he is dragon, he can breathe fire. He is also smarter than half the dwarfs that come for him. But being a dragon is reason enough to be on this list. :P

Littlefinger, Cersei, Tyrion, The Hound, Tywin, etc.
Of course I couldn’t talk about villains and not talk about A Song of Ice and Fire. I know I said that I won’t talk about them anymore in my T5W post, because I talk about them in almost all my T5W post, but what was I supposed to do with a topic like this. I can’t not talk about A Song of Ice and Fire when I’m supposed to talk about villains. In this book you find the best villains. Good people that do bad things and bad people that do good thing. The people are not black and white they are grey, much like villains in the real world.

Who are your favorite villains?
