Description
This Entangled Teen Crush book contains adult language, underage drinking, sexual situations, and crazy squirrels. It may cause you to become a fan of hockey - or at least hot hockey players. The hometown hockey hero won't know what hit him...
Karen Webber is in small-town hell. After her mother's death, she moved to Corrigan Falls to live with strangers - her dad and his perfect, shiny new family - and there doesn't seem to be room for a city girl with a chip on her shoulder. The only person who makes her feel like a real human being is Tyler MacDonald.
But Karen isn't interested in starting something with a player. And that's all she keeps hearing about Tyler.
Corrigan Falls is a hockey town, and Tyler's the star player. But the viselike pressure from his father and his agent are sending him dangerously close to the edge. All people see is hockey - except Karen. Now they've managed to find something in each other that they both desperately need. And for the first time, Tyler is playing for keeps...
My thoughts
I’m more of
a fantasy adventure kind of girl, but I like a contemporary romance sometimes
as well. But I do have to admit generally I rate those lower than my fantasy.
It is not because I enjoy them less, but more because the contemporary romances
are more the same. They look more alike than the fantasies. They are for me
also less memorable, I forget them easier. That’s probably why I don’t write a
lot of reviews for them. So here I am, changing that.
I though
Center Ice was okay, I enjoyed reading it. But it wasn’t something new for me.
It was fun, but not life changing. The characters were a bit cheesy, like most
YA romance. The story was very addicting. When I put it down I wanted to pick
it back up as soon as I could, because I wanted to know what would happen next.
I’m a sportive person, so a sport element is a plus for me. Although I’m not a hockey
fan, and don’t know much about the rules.
I had also
a few problems with this book. The main character knows someone is laying a
trap for her. She even mentions it, but she still falls for it. That got me irritated.
She knows this person has only his on intentions at hart and not hers or her
boyfriends, but she still beliefs everything he says.
There was also a moment that characters were in a car and a little part later they were all of a sudden out of the car, but It wasn’t mentioned that they stepped out of the car. I got really confused by this, like I missed a part. This happened again in a later were they first were in a room and later in a different room. It could be me but it felt weird to me.

I had some problems with is I had a good reading experience. If anyone is
looking for a cheesy romance with an ice hockey element this will be something
you like.
