Description

Princess Winter is admired by the Lunar people for her grace and kindness, and despite the scars that mark her face, her beauty is said to be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana.

Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won't approve of her feelings for her childhood friend--the handsome palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn't as weak as Levana believes her to be and she's been undermining her stepmother's wishes for years. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that's been raging for far too long.

Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter defeat Levana and find their happily ever afters? Fans will not want to miss this thrilling conclusion to Marissa Meyer's national bestselling Lunar Chronicles series.

My thoughts

Wow this is a big book! This felt sometimes like I was never getting to the end, because you have a lot of main characters now and all their stories have to wrap-up.

I loved Winter as a character. It helped that I read the short story The Princess and The Guard before I read Winter. So, I did already have a respect for Winter and knew she wasn’t completely insane, most of the time than.

Through this short story I got to understand Jacin also a bit better. I wasn’t a fan of him in Cress and whit that short story I saw a side I hadn’t seen jet before diving in this one. I grow respect for him in this story more and more. He is a good guy that has done so much for Winter. I wish I would find a guy who will do half the things he does for Winter, than I would be the luckiest girl in the world.

Of course there are also all the other characters and as usual they are great. There isn’t much that I can say what I haven’t said before. I love all these characters!

In a way I’m sad that this series is over because I don’t get to read about these characters anymore. But I like the ending. All the events that happen and how it comes down to this last battle. But, in the end I wanted more. Just a bit more of what happens after all this. I read the short story Something Old, Something New from Stars Above, it was like an epilogue and that left me satisfied.

This Is a great series that I highly recommend!
